About us and location

Skool Cornwall offers exclusive language courses in a unique location. We are based in St. Agnes, a small, picturesque Cornish coastal village in an officially designated Area of ​​Outstanding Natural Beauty. The school itself is situated on the cliffs above a beautiful beach next to the South West Coast Path.

Courses

We offer 30 hour English programmes, and we offer Arts and Culture  tours and Walking programmes as well. There are a range of wonderful routes, with spectacular views of the Atlantic. The entire Cornish peninsular is linked by hundreds of miles of maintained coastal path, which makes some of the most striking and beautiful vistas accessible to walkers.

We offer classes for adults only, limited to a maximum of 6 students. Our language classes are friendly and communicative, we analyze the language in detail and use audiovisual and textual materials related to the local culture and/or personal interests of our students.

We encourage a practical approach to the English language. We explore grammatical issues and exceptions but believe in the practice of speaking English. In the afternoons we have open conversations during our activities, allowing students to use the language while exploring the beautiful, wild Cornish landscape.

We will check your level of English with a short test on the first day of your course.

Accommodation

We offer homestay accommodation and there are also a variety of good private B&Bs or private apartments in the village. 15 hours of general English costs £475 per person, plus homestay accommodation for £475. We operate all year round.

Travel

There are regular flights to Newquay Airport (NQY) from many European destinations, including Zurich and Dusseldorf. There are also 2 daily connecting flights from London airports directly to Cornwall. Newquay Airport is a 30-minute drive from St Agnes. We also offer transfers from Exeter (EXE) and Bristol (BRS) airports. Alternatively, you can take the scenic route and take the train from London Paddington to Truro.
