Experience an intensive language and cultural exchange in Japan’s Wild West: The educational leave course of Meiji Academy was specially designed for professionals from Germany who want to make meaningful use of their educational leave. In the middle of the vibrant coastal city of Fukuoka, you will experience Japanese lessons that go far beyond the classroom – between temples, street food markets, and sea breeze. Immerse yourself in the everyday life of the locals and discover a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity!

Course Contents

Intensive Language Course:
20 lessons per week + 4 Japanese conversation lessons + 6 Traditional Culture Classes

As part of the course, you will have 20 structured language lessons per week as well as an additional 4 conversation hours that specifically strengthen your conversational skills. The lessons are individually adapted to your language level and foster all important skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing – for holistic learning progress.

Cultural Education: Experience traditional cultural activities and gain a deeper understanding of Japanese customs and habits.

Course Start: Every Monday (in weeks with public holidays in Japan, the course cannot be booked)

Course Times: Depending on your language level, you will attend the language course in the morning or afternoon and have the additional conversation and cultural units in the other part of the day.

Accommodation is not included in the price, but can be booked additionally.
