Founded in 1984, the academy specializes in language teaching and is recognized by the MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education). The school is located right in the city center, a few steps from the Archaeological Park and Archaeological Museum, the main shopping streets of the city, the historical center of Ortigia and the sun terraces on the sea.

Located on the southeast coast of Sicily, Syracuse has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List for its many treasures. With a history stretching back over three thousand years, the city’s art and architecture bears witness to the many glorious civilizations that have settled there. Today Syracuse is a very lively city that warmly welcomes adventurous souls and culture lovers alike and has a lot to offer: Here you can decide whether to lose yourself in the maze of the many narrow streets of the old town, a stroll around the medieval one fortress overlooking the large natural harbor or the countless beaches and marine reserves that surround the city.

Our Italian courses are designed to teach excellent Italian language skills while enjoying all that fascinating Syracuse has to offer. 

Our option accredited for Bildungsurlaub is a 30-academic-hour Intensive Italian course that includes:

• 20 General Italian group lessons
• 10 individual lessons
• a few hours of guided study based on the book’s exercises and audio support

This course has an online textbook included.

Be it a beginner or advanced course, we adapt the course to your personal needs. All our courses are based on a communicative approach, giving you the opportunity to practice spoken Italian, develop a comprehension, expand your vocabulary and improve your grammatical skills. At the Italian Academy, all teachers are highly qualified native speakers who want to make your Italian language learning experience as enjoyable and successful as possible.

In case you will also be needing an accommodation, we can arrange for you to stay in one of our apartments located in the city center and within easy reach from our school. All of our accommodations are usually available from Saturday to Saturday and are equipped with any kind of comfort such as bed linens, bathroom towels, washing machine, hairdryer, WiFi, bathroom and kitchen. The accommodation is not included in the price.
